Name of the Position:Engineering Consultant

Job Description:ECs would be the check-measurement authorities on the measurements taken by the TAs. They shall guide the TAs and FAs on quality of the works and the durability of the assets created under the program. ECs are expected to bring fresh blood in to the department and are expected to maintain strict standards of integrity. This stint in rural engineering is expected to boost their career prospects in suitable private sector.

Eligibility :BE/B.Tech (Civil)

Bachelor degree in Agricultural Engineering 

Bachelor degree in Agriculture or Horticulture

B.Sc(CA&BM)

1. Age not exceeding 45 years as on the date of advertisement.
2. Zonal system shall be followed
3. All Statutory reservations have to be followed.

Those Fixed Tenure Employees who have been working with Commissionarate of RD and who possess the qualification of BE/B.Tech (Civil) or Bachelor degree in Agricultural Engineering or Bachelor degree in Agriculture, CA&BM or Horticulture and age within the above limit can also apply for the position of Engineering Consultants, provided the FTEs relinquish their present post held by them and give an undertaking that he/she will be under a non- extendable contract for a period of two years from the date of assumption of the position as Engineering Consultant. After this period, irrespective of his/her performance, the post will be filled up with fresh Engineering graduates.

Tenure:
The ECs shall be taken on a two-year non extendable contract as a stop-gap arrangement till the permanent department is established for rural development. All candidates identified under this system have to give a written Bond that they will not leave during the period of contract. They can however, be removed on grounds of misconduct anytime during the contract period. During the period of contract, their education certificates should be retained with the organization. After completion of the 2 year period, they will be relieved irrespective of their performance and if there is need, chance will be given for the new students. 
Pay: 

Each EC shall be entitled for a monthly remuneration of Rs. 16150/- (fixed), Rs. 2,000/- towards FTA and Rs 500/- towards cell phone charges
(Total Rs 18,650/- per month).
